Orange Lanterns

Orange Lanterns ©Flora Doehler Oil on Canvas 24″ x 30″ $1100.

Chinese Lanterns are a perennial that forms a paper-like cover for its fruit. In the fall the orange ‘lanterns’ dance in the wind and you can pick them and let them dry for a very long lasting bouquet. That way, you’ll have something to paint in the winter. 😉

This painting can be seen and purchased at The Flight of Fancy in Bear River, Nova Scotia.
