A New Life is part of a series of 3 paintings inspired by the Bee Balm flowers in my garden. They are tall and frilly on top and absolutely encourage bees. Even when they lose their bloom, the remaining seed pods are quite interesting to add to a bouquet.

I was keen to abstract the flowers and to suggest the delightful chaos of the garden.
